The Distillation story—

An intertwining forest song from our travels to Mount Shasta, featuring leaf, bark, cone & pitch. To call in the energy of the region even more, this hydrosol was distilled in hand-collected spring water from the pristine Shasta headwaters.

Think of a crisp mountaintop forest, with an icy clear stream running through it where everyone gathers to have a drink of the freshest, living water. The aromatics here greet you with the sweet smell of pine pitch, plump Spring-green citrusy needles, vanilla-scented Ponderosa bark & fallen fir pinecones. The scent was extraordinary, and this Hydrosol carries this living landscape symphony forth, transported by the wisdom & mysticism of the land.

There are certain places in the country I’ve experienced with big portal energetics and Mount Shasta is clearly one of them. Our annual family trip to the West coast and Southwest has always concluded with a trip to gather drinking water from the headwaters of Shasta. Icy, crystal clear spring water right from the source. The water feels different there. I feel different there. It just so happened a rainbow appeared after our harvest & the magic in the air was palpable. Enjoy~~~

The Hydrosol—

Best Use:

For skin: Mist your Hydrosol onto clean face or hands until saturated, and pat for ample hydration. For added moisture morning and night, follow by gently massaging a nourishing facial oil into the skin, and finish with another mist of your Hydrosol to lock in moisture. Your daily use restores the skin’s natural PH balance. This Hydrosol is especially lovely kept in the fridge for cooling relief.

For scalp : Mist after a bath or shower and style as usual.

WHAT IS A HYDROSOL?

Hydrosols, also known as Distillates, are the subtle, and often aromatic waters resulting from slowly distilled plant material, and are some of nature's best antioxidants for the skin. Lovingly made using hand collected local spring water, combined with ethically wildcrafted and organically grown plant material, they are distilled in a traditional copper alembic still.

Alchemists from all over the world have performed transformational distillations in these traditional stills for over 3,000 years, and this artisan process still remains the same! The actual method of performing our distillations has a 5-7 hour duration, a much slower process compared to more commercialized modes of skin care production. What results, is a nutrient-rich, energetic, and authentic Hydrosol, containing the plant's own suspended micro particles of essential oil, plant acids, even a plant's specific essence and memory imprint. Each offers its own unique botanical remedy dependent on the plant distilled, thus leading to the reference that a Hydrosol is a hologram of the plant itself!
